Artifact used to be my favorite spot when I first moved to Portland. I have a lot of cute things that I have purchased from them. After more experiences with the store, I’m just not excited to go there anymore. I purchased a couch for roughly $400 a while back. I paid to have it picked up from Artifact and delivered to my apartment from a company that Artifact recommended. They didn’t even bring the couch in the apartment building and said it wouldn’t fit. They took it back to Artifact and since they don’t do returns, I had $400 of in-store credit. That’s a LOT of money to lose with nothing to show for it. I know things happen but it felt kind of slimy. Seems like a great way to make a lot of money quick. (They still have the couch to sell and I have $400 of in-store credit to spend there.) I have tried to sell my clothes there as well and they are extremely particular about what they take. I have had them give me all of my things back twice and not want anything. It just ends up feeling like a waste of time and energy. The products are EXTREMELY overpriced for what they are. $24 for a T-shirt from a consignment shop…. $5 for a random rock. Yikes. I find the staff to be extremely cold and not friendly at all.
Village Merchants is just down the street, has great staff, and great prices.
The Buyers at this shop have the best Taste in Home Furnishings as well as clothes.I just love there aesthetic.Very nice employees and a great neighborhood...☀️In the photos they bought the black basket shelves and I bought the pillow and the 2 black wood carvings...✨
This shop is a quintessential Portland shopping experience and very much a lifestyle store. There is always a unique selection at great prices.
Nice store, nice vibe, with a wide range of things to buy. The clothes seemed pricey, but most other things were more like thrift store prices. I would come here to explore again.
A delightful thrift shop with an admirable mission and intention. Surprisingly great quality finds at fair prices, a very fun atmosphere.
I was visiting my friends in Portland, and had an afternoon to explore by myself. So glad I stopped by here. I picked up some jewelry and some other small little presents for my hosts and had a lovely conversation during checkout, she gave me hiking and restaurant suggestions. I love how the styles are eclectic and vintage but also mixed in with standard basic outfits, so it’s not too overwhelming. They also have a really good selection of home decor, furniture, shoes, belts etc. I’d visit this place once every few weeks if I lived in Portland and try my best to practice self control ;)
Stopped by this store because I was on Division and had to kill an hour or so of time. I was honestly expecting high prices for just about everything, but was pleasantly surprised! This is a cute store with definitely a primary focus on more vintage style. They had $5 bins of clothes, some shoes and hats! I was trying hard not to walk out with anything and was really just there to look, but I couldn't pass on a few things and ended up getting 5 items for $40 - anthropologie brands too for the most part! Still debating on if I should go back for the $40 great condition doc martens... Great thrift spot! I'll be back!
Fun spot with lots of cool clothes. I wish they had more stuff for masc-bodied folks, but I won't mark them down for that, because I love the space :)
